Sanaya’s fascination with understanding people began while studying neuroscience at Vassar College, where she became interested in the relationship between the brain and human behavior. As she learned more about cognition and decision-making, that curiosity evolved from understanding not just how people think, but why they think the way they do.
While earning her MBA at the New York University Stern School of Business, Sanaya broadened that perspective through client-side marketing work in fintech and healthcare organizations while serving as Vice President of Communications for both the Consulting Club and the South Asian Business Association. Across these experiences, she discovered a love for connecting strategy and storytelling, reinforcing her belief that the best business decisions begin with deep insight into people.
Sanaya also co-authored a chapter with Gerald Zaltman in Dare to Think Differently: How Open-Mindedness Creates Exceptional Decision-Making, examining how spatial metaphors and neuroscience shape cognition and how thoughtfully designed environments can encourage openness, creativity, and better decision-making.
