Before joining OZA, Jessica worked as a primary research assistant exploring death and coping issues with parents who lost a child due to airline disasters. She also worked as an assistant researching restitution practices for Penn State and the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing. Jessica’s understanding of imagery and its role in culture and perception allows her to view participant imagery in lieu of its greater cultural meaning. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys reading, photography, and independent music and films. Jess holds Bachelors degrees with Honors in Sociology, Anthropology, and Gender Studies, all from Lycoming College. She was also an American Sociological Association honors student.
